Home Visits

Only patients who are terminally ill or truly bed bound will normally receive a home visit.

homevisitsIf possible please try to telephone us as early in the day as you can. Please be prepared to answer a few questions to help us decide the if a home visit is clinically required.

The GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner may also telephone you before they visit. Home visits are generally carried out at the end of morning surgery so you may not receive your visit until lunchtime.

There are benefits for patients being seen at the Practice.

  • we have full medical equipment and staff to give patients a higher quality of care.
  • you are likely to be seen quicker as we can offer acute same day appointments if needed.
  • you can have a face to face consultation with the Advanced Nurse Practitioner and/or Duty Doctor.
